Topic: Lagging Behind

So last week I didn't blog at all. Mostly because I put myself on a Big Brother marathon and have been watching entire old seasons that I missed in the past. I watched Season 9 first (33 episodes) at www.cbs.com and I am now in the middle of Season 2. Out of the 11 Seasons, I've missed half of them because I didn't start watching until around Season 4. Season 2 wasn't ever downloaded to cbs.com; I guess the idea of streaming video hadn't occured to them yet, so I managed to find old copies on VeohTV. It's not great quality, but Big Brother, to me, is more a show to listen to vs. watch closely anyway. Good backup sound to housecleaning and stitching. I tend to go through phases; dividing my time at home between blogging, TV, stitching, & reading - all equally satisfying and right now I'm on a TV / Stitching phase.

There hasn't been too much really going on around here otherwise. I think I might have a job and have a "final" interview on Friday. I've been tested & interviewed & the feedback has been good.  They are "very interested in me". But.. the job is in Roanoke and I've had to succumb to the fact that I'm going to have to make the 80 mile round trip daily, in order to work. It'll also be evening shift (after 2 weeks of daytime trianing), which will conflict with Samantha's cheerleading, but I'll just have to make it work!

The only other note of interest from last week was our tagging along with Becky and her crew for her bi-weekly grocery shopping trip. Becky took Sami and I out to pizza and I tried White Pizza, which was really good! We also wandered around Walmart for awhile. As you can see, we made a quick stop in the aisle containing the halloween costumes ~ Halloween is right around the corner already! I can't believe it.  Becky's son 9's photo, the Scream Alien, came out best. After our visit to Walmart, Becky's daughter 12, ended up spending the weekend with Samantha and we made plans for Sam & I to go over and spend Wednesday night at their house. We haven't been there to visit in almost forever.

Happy Monday everyone!

Forever and a day!
Topic: Lagging Behind

That's how long it's been since I posted last.  I know, I know, Get with it.  Sorry guys - busy life is getting the best of my time.  I actually wrote a post yesterday and left it up on my computer because I had planned to add more to it before I posted.  But... one of the gremlins I live amongst closed the window when they got on the computer.  Silly me, for not saving as draft!  Then earlier today I posted again - a nice big ole long post - but when I hit the post button - I got the big ole TRIPOD Error and my post was again gone to never never computer land.  The big hole that has tons of posts and emails forever lost.  It'll be very interesting when one day that hole is discovered!

Needless to say I don't want to post what I wrote earlier - I don't have the time right now - but I'm still here.  My blog is quickly becoming a "Weekend Update" But - that's ok - that's life.  I'm still here...  Awaiting....  for what, I couldn't tell ya!

Have You Missed Me?
Topic: Lagging Behind

Honey I'm home!

I finally have my internet at home, a dish for TV & a phone too (I had my cell phone but didn't get much signal unless I went out on the porch).  This week was "installation" week.  Kevin, who works until 2 a.m., had to stay awake between 8am - noon three days waiting for the installers to come & hook everything up.  I think he is quite tired!  Regardless, we have internet again and I'm so thrilled!  DSL even.

All is great!  All is really good at the new house.  All is really good at the new job!

We got our furniture the weekend before last and I'm still busy setting up house.  It was like getting a bunch of Christmas gifts, after having everything in storage for close to two years.  I had forgotten a lot of the stuff I had - especially the things that aren't really material - but memories and things I cherish from the past!  I even got a new washer because the one that we had wouldn't work when Kevin hooked it back up.  It worked when we unhooked it two years ago - so who knows what happened between then and now.  But.... actually it was a blessing because I have a new washer!

So - did you miss me?  I hope, if I had any readers, that I didn't lose them.  Love to all!  More later!

Has it been a week since I posted last?
Topic: Lagging Behind

Wow - I guess it has.  Where is the time going lately?  And Damn…. I missed Thirteen Thursday!  Don’t cha just hate when that happens?

Today is the first day I’ve touched the computer in a week, with the exception of a quick pop-in to my email to check on job replies and such.  My mind hasn’t been much on computing.  I’ve been worrying a lot this week.  Probably excessively – I’m kind of in a funk right about now.  I’m tired.  Tired of worrying about everything under the sun:  Sami and upcoming school starting, school shopping, the new house and what I have to put in it, how to get my stuff out of storage, finding a job and even a few other things that I don’t want to get into on here.  I’m questioning myself.  I’m questioning my move to Virginia….  Maybe I shouldn’t have moved back here when things weren’t really all that bad in Mass.  Yes, Samantha wanted to be in Virginia and Yes, Mass is more expensive, which were my main reasons for coming back to Virginia, but life doesn’t seem to be easy anywhere anymore and I just want to feel happy!  It hasn’t been a wonderful week, put it that way.

On the brighter side of things:

I am feeling a little better today and once I started doing a little blogging it made me feel a little better overall.  I visited my families and friends blogs, all of which peaked my interest and got my mind off my own life’s issues.  After I post this, I will visit Michele’s, for some blogging games - which is always a good time!

My Mom, who recently started doing Thirteen Thursday had an excellent post this week about 911 – she entitled it:  “Things that Just Don’t Add Up”.  #1 on her list had a link which I could spend hours reading.  I've already spent quite a bit of time there and plan to go back to read more.  It takes everything from before 911, on through, with links and proof of things that just don’t add up (didn’t I say that before?) on the whole 911 issue - putting it all together.   Go here to check out her blog:

Then Becky, my best friend, was telling me about a blog she was checking out that had a link entitled “Life After the Oil Crash” and how it had really freaked her out.  Today she blogged about this herself and linked the site she was reading.

Go here to check out her blog and the link:

When you read this article it will really make you think…….  It made me think!

Sometimes the small mundane problems might not be as big as we feel they are!
